Our app shows ski information when you are inside the gps area of a ski resort. When you are not at a ski resort (you are at home) it allows you to look at the ski information as if you were physically at the resort.

Apple rejected it for the above reason described here.

We are not selling more information or more features. The core app works from your physically being at a ski resort. Other ski related apps work the same way.

Not sure what our plan of action should be. Any ideas?

We tried to take advantage of the Free app with In-app purchase to create a free download Lite with an "unlock the full version" purchase button.

Rejected for this same reason. They don't treat it any different.

The "UNO" app is a lite version that does not let you complete a game unless you buy the full app. Guess rules differ depending on who you are.

Me too, it seems like it is easy for new developer to fall into this trap.

yeah, its bit confusing. My lite versions were rejected because I provided some button and when user tapped it, i said this feature is not available in Lite version. So what they mean by fully functional is that anything that reefers to full version is a no no.

Does this rejection come with a reference to where the reason is documented?

Aren't the majority of "Lite" versions available "feature-limited"? Doesn't "Lite" imply "feature-limited"?

I'd like to release a free or "Lite" version of my app, but am having a difficult time finding official guidelines.
